This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.
Team Overview: The Delegated Underwriting Team (DU) at Everest are responsible for adequately onboarding and managing third party relationships. We service our underwriting function to enable the offering of a diversified distribution solution to the underwriting portfolio. Governance and oversight of each of the facility arrangements ensure Regulatory adherence, Operational effectiveness and Everest risk appetite are paramount to the strategic objectives of DUA at Everest.
Role Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Delegated Underwriting Post Bind Team where a large proportion of the work will be focused on managing the Delegated Underwriting Audit process. With oversight from the Head of Delegated Underwriting Operations, you will manage audits, and facility relationships with internal Underwriting Divisions and external partners, ensuring compliance with local regulatory guidelines. This role involves maintaining and administering Third Party Risk Management Outsourcing Registers, and coordinating quarterly review meetings with Coverholders and Underwriters. You will also be responsible for document review for due diligence, supporting the Profit Commission process, attending Oversight Committees, and producing data for regulatory and internal reporting. Additionally, you will adapt to evolving Third Party Oversight Management requirements and coach junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage all DU Audits for Everest International, both coordinated (via Lloyd’s) or stand-alone.
- Engage with all relevant stakeholders.
- Discover, Scope, Plan and track all responses to audit queries and requests.
- Maintenance of the audit register and create accurate reporting to Committees as relevant and Management when required.
- Management of Audit invoices and payments.
- Partner with both internal and external stakeholders in the overall management of DU facilities written from both a Regulatory and Governance Standpoint adhering to local regulatory guidelines.
- Report to other DU team members or key stakeholders to enrich management information and reporting performance indicators for Overview Committees, as required.
- Governance of Delegated Underwriting facilities.
- Partner with and conduct review meetings with Coverholders and Underwriters ensuring that all relevant management, administration and reporting for Outsourcing is in place and effective to maintain positive relationships in order to achieve desired operational outcomes.
- Maintain and administer Third Party Risk Management Outsourcing Register(s) as appropriate with accurate and up to date information.
- Administer reports for TPRM Committee in accordance with direction from the Head of DU Operations.
- Support in the document review of Due Diligence files, manage Committee, internal and external expectations alongside DU Partnerships, within a first line of defense capacity.
- Adapt to the changing Regulatory landscapes, inclusive of System changes within the DU Framework and report when required these changes to key stakeholders across the business.
- Any other ad hoc duties or tasks as defined and agreed with the Head of Delegated Underwriting Operations.
All functions to be performed in accordance with current Everest policies and specific procedure manuals, as amended from time to time.
Professional Experience:
- Delegated Underwriting experience with a Lloyd’s Managing Agent, Insurance Co. or MGA.
- Experience in operational Delegated Underwriting Authority or Syndicate/Company Market underwriting/operational support role.
- Ability to think proactively and offer solutions to problems.
- Proven ability to prioritise and deliver in a timely manner.
- Extensive technology experience including PAS, DMS, Workflow, and MS Office suite.
- Use of Management Information tools, including Delegated Audit Manager (DAM).
