The Associate Product Manager will collaborate with platform engineering teams to enhance internal products, focusing on SRE and Observability technologies while balancing user needs and performance.

Spanning many disciplines, we work to make the business work; creating the frameworks, capabilities and tools needed to serve millions of customers. Our Internal Developer Platform powers the entire software development life cycle, including Developer Experience, Reliability, Data, and Security.
This role is a unique opportunity to develop your product skills and technical knowledge at a significant scale. By building a platform that enables our engineers to deliver new features with high quality even faster, your contributions will have a major impact on Wise's mission.
We want our APMs (Associate Product Managers) to keep a laser focus on one or two teams at a time, then move on and gain experience across a wide cross section of the Platform Tribe in the long term. This kind of experience and exposure is hard to find at such a rapidly scaling business and technology stack.
This role will be focused on our internal Observability and SRE offering and requires balancing various competing priorities, such as risk, governance, cost, reliability, performance, and user experience. You will be part of a wider team of Platform Product Managers, applying your product expertise to ensure the Observability and SRE team is consistently pursuing the most impactful opportunities in a measurable way.

Your mission is to partner with our platform engineering teams to build world-class products for our internal users. Work with a broad range of technologies to find and deliver improvements that have real mission impact. Identify and unlock opportunities across SRE, Observability, Developer Experience, and Developer Productivity. Collaborate with many different functions across Wise to gather, understand and translate user needs into reliable, scalable, performant and efficient platform services. Communicate critical insights by analysing and connecting your hypothesis to data.

- Previous experience in product, project, program management or similar.
- Good understanding of modern software development, Cloud, DevOps and the software development life cycle required.
- Ability to translate platform and technology opportunities into business impact for non-technical stakeholders.
- Use analytical and customer insights to learn about problems and understand how to scope and measure the impact of potential changes.
- Able to clearly articulate a problem, work with engineers to define a solution and follow it through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Expose and assess the various trade-offs when prioritising work and creating a roadmap.
- You communicate clearly and effectively, influence without authority, and secure buy-in for your plans from the broader organization.

Starting salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + RSUs
