Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team, ensuring focus and progress towards goals.
- Coordinate a fleet of over 20 vehicles, maintaining compliance with all transport legislation including EU and UK rules.
- Advise and train staff on safe operating procedures and checks.
- Maintain accurate staff and vehicle records.
- Support warehouse operations and ensure compliance with DVSA standards.
- Manage people through performance reviews, staff development, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required.
Previous Experience:
- Transport or logistics management experience.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and team management skills.
- Experience in warehouse or distribution environments.
- Ability to handle challenging situations.
- IT literacy, particularly with WMS systems.
- Ability to analyze and report operational performance.
- Knowledge of H&S and HR legislation.
- Management CPC / OLAT qualification is desirable but not essential.
Additional Information:
- Location: Coatbridge Depot
- Hours: 40 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (flexibility for early/late shifts)
