As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will ensure building services systems are properly commissioned according to relevant standards.
Primary Responsibilities- Adhere to health and safety policies at all times
- Work diligently, efficiently, and professionally
- Ensure technical compliance and high-quality production
- Collaborate with the main contractor to develop commissioning strategies
- Utilize company project and management systems
- Monitor project finances and control expenditure
- Participate in meetings and produce reports
- Develop project-specific management and validation documents
- Provide technical feedback on drawings and manuals
- Create procedural instructions and test scripts
- Report scope changes and assess project progress and costs
- Perform hands-on commissioning work as needed
- BEng in Electrical Engineering with Building Services
- Project management experience
- Additional modules in construction law, project management, building services, environmental systems, lighting, energy, time management, and presentation skills
- Membership in CIBSE, ASHRAE, or similar
- Minimum 5 years in project or commissioning management in building-related projects
- Experience with quality and environmental policies
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Willingness to travel to site locations
- Experienced engineer, licensed PE or skilled technician with knowledge of MEP, HVAC controls, T&B processes
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Familiarity with design documentation and project delivery
- Knowledge of construction practices and systems engineering
- Understanding of project accounting and financial tools
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
