With a global reach, their projects and partnerships are designed to address modern infrastructure's evolving needs and expand sustainable, affordable energy use.

The Senior Engineering & Project Manager is the regionally responsible person for all engineering aspects for projects across the region. This role requires agility to operate from detailed engineering execution to strategic oversight, flexing as needed to meet project and business demands. The individual will provide both engineering support to the wider business, as well as strategic and operational leadership of the engineering function.

The successful candidate will ensure all projects delivered through contracting organisations meet high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Responsibilities include:

  • Be the senior responsible person and regional focal point for all engineering activity in UK and Europe.
  • Lead the engineering strategy and technical delivery across all projects, ensuring innovation and technical opportunity growth.
  • Provide technical management, oversight and assurance on works delivered by engineering contractors.
  • Develop and implement engineering policies, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Oversee the management of technical risks, design validation, and change control processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small internal engineering team or technical function as needed.
  • Champion health, safety, environmental, and sustainability practices across all engineering activities.
  • Be prepared to support global engineering from concept design through to commissioning.

The role requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, capable of identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across engineering delivery. The individual must be able to flex up and down the engineering scale, from performing basic design tasks to managing multi-million GBP subcontracts with global reach. Success in this role will be measured through KPIs including on-time project delivery, subcontractor performance, quality control, cost efficiency, HSE compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be Degree-qualified in engineering (although electrical, mechanical and chemical are preferred, civil, structural, or related discipline is acceptable) with Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. You will have significant engineering leadership experience, ideally within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector and be capable of personal engineering task delivery and review. It is important to have a demonstrated success in engineering management or project engineering, on significant projects, ideally in infrastructure, energy, oil & gas or chemical. You must have proven experience managing subcontracted or third-party engineering delivery, a strong understanding of HSE standards and industry best practices and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical oversight. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and teams. In addition, you will need a full driving licence as well as capability and willingness to travel across the UK, Europe and USA, as required.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with an excellent base salary, generous bonus, private health insurance and above industry average pension along with a range of other benefits. Please send your CV for immediate review and screening.
