We are seeking on behalf of our client—a leading developer in the offshore renewable energy sector—an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Engineering Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled engineers, contributing to one of the significant power system developments in the region.
You will support multiple offshore wind farm projects within the client's execution portfolio, requiring flexibility and adaptability. This role requires a proactive and flexible consultant capable of delivering high-quality power system studies while collaborating effectively with the project team.
Responsibilities- Conduct power system studies using PowerFactory, including both static and dynamic analyses.
- Perform detailed modelling and studies, utilizing dynamic vendor models for SGRE wind turbines, STATCOMs, and SynCons.
- Scope tasks comprehensively before execution, ensuring alignment of boundary conditions, design criteria, and desired outcomes with the assigned QA personnel.
- Execute tasks independently while adhering to client's methodology and QA guidelines.
- Integrate into the project team to conduct multiple studies, maintaining ongoing alignment with the team through online communication.
- Proven experience with PowerFactory and relevant software tools.
- Familiarity with dynamic vendor models for SGRE wind turbines, STATCOMs, and SynCons.
- Ability to work independently and follow client's established methodologies and QA processes.
- No additional certifications required.
- No travel required; all work can be conducted remotely.
Laptop and necessary software will be supplied by the client. Work will be conducted on a by-the-hour/day basis.
