Job Description
Team you will be working with: Spend Authorisation
The Spend Authorisation team is a global product team enabling our Customers to pay with Wise Card. We do this by creating highly scalable and robust services and by having a direct interaction with Visa and Mastercard. We also take care of Card tokenization to digital wallets like GooglePay, ApplePay and many more. Card issuing is the easiest way to let customers spend their money, but we should keep in mind that cards are only one of the possible solutions to spending problems and as the domain evolves new opportunities that could help our Customers emerge. Our mission statement for the Spend and Wise tribe is: Give our customers reliable, easy to use and eventually free way to pay from borderless accounts everywhere in the world.
Qualifications
- You have 5+ years of Java 8+ knowledge, experience with Spring framework
- A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
- Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas
- You enjoy writing clean and testable code
- You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems
