The role:
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our existing first-class Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. This requires a person who is natural at building relationships and can fit into current accounting processes. You will be a candidate who is self-motivated, conscientious and able to work under your own initiative, as well as part of a team.

What you'll be doing:
- Ownership and accountability for the store estate ensuring daily reconciliation of tender to sales.
- Weekly store expense control and monitoring.
- Chargeback prevention and assisting CS team with defence.
- Compliance reporting.
- Ownership of reporting and KPI's for cash and expense management.
- Online Queries.
- Daily transactional audit process and reporting.
- Managing store banking procedures, documentation and handling associated external relationships.
- Development and maintenance of procedures and processes to improve business wide loss prevention.
- Liaise with stores and assist with queries.
- Online reconciliation across all tenders and exception reporting.
- Assistance with month end process where time allows.
Performance Measures:
- No cash balances aged >10 days.
- Response to chargebacks within bank required deadlines (target based on £ loss).
- Minimisation of ongoing sales audit issues and discrepancies.
- Timely and accurate reconciliation of all owned control accounts within deadlines.
- Accuracy of information distributed to wider business.
