HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Limited is a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.
Our Work Winning team are currently looking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic Head of Bid Management to be based in our Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire. The role will require you to drive, develop and review bid strategies regularly through the bid process while maintaining a solid understanding of contract, technical and pricing processes to allow challenge of proposed strategies.
You will motivate and energise bid teams and individuals and have the ability to monitor and influence multiple bids concurrently and ensure that company and corporate governance/procedures are adhered to at all stages of bids. You must have the ability to achieve desired outcomes from individuals and groups not immediately within the work winning team while engaging with the wider operational team to gain buy-in before, during and after bidding.
The role requires you to identify and solve issues within organisation, individual and logistics to facilitate bid process and production, identifying what information is needed and seeking out those individuals within the organisation that can contribute to a solution.
Please note that this role will be office based 5 days per week until successful completion of your probationary period where you can then apply to work from home 1 day per week. This position will require occasional travel to project sites across the UK so flexibility with travel will be necessary.
It is essential that you have a Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification. You will have strong coaching skills and be able to actively encourage and maintain positivity within teams. You must be confident in distributing key information to the senior team as required to facilitate timely and informed decision making. A sound knowledge of the UK construction market and knowledge of relevant procurement legislation is also essential.
