An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Treasury team based in Manchester. The Treasury Assistant Accountant will support the EMEA Treasury Manager in managing regional banking operations, ensuring accurate 13-week cash flow forecasting, and delivering timely financial reporting. The role involves daily treasury operations, reconciliation of accounts, and collaboration with internal teams such as Payroll, Billing, and Credit Control. This position plays a key role in improving group cash flow and maintaining financial controls.

Principle Accountabilities:
  • Maintain and update invoice registers, and apply payments to accounts receivable balances in Dynamics 365.
  • Perform daily cash reporting, including unallocated cash and cash on account.
  • Reconcile cash and sales ledgers monthly, and provide summary reports for Central Finance.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate 13-week cash flow forecasts.
  • Manage bank accounts, associated cashbooks, and perform monthly reconciliations.
  • Support intercompany journal entries and ensure compliance with month-end deadlines.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit documentation for quarterly reviews.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives in cash and treasury processes.
  • Adhere to internal policies, including Finance and QHSE standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including functions like pivot tables and VLookup).
  • Basic understanding of double-entry accounting and financial controls.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience using Dynamics 365, Power BI and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of borrowing, funding arrangements, and intercompany accounting.
