We are looking for a GIS Data Technician to join our @one Alliance team in Peterborough from September 2025. Here within the @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation made up of our seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme.

This role in the @one Digital Team is an exciting graduate level opportunity for learning and development as a member of the @one Digital Team. You will work collaboratively with the Digital Team, the wider Alliance and the wider digital community to drive innovation, collaboration, and efficiency using digital technologies.

What you'll do:

  • Regularly updating and maintaining our GIS datasets.
  • Seeking out new datasets to support @one Alliance processes.
  • Searching out and implementing efficiencies in data maintenance processes.
  • Carrying out data cleansing activities to ensure data quality standards are met.
  • Working with other stakeholders to integrate other internal and external data sources.
  • Creating, updating, and improving GIS data maintenance processes.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Studying towards or having completed bachelor's or master's degree in Geomatics, Engineering, Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Data Science or Software Development.
  • Interest in new and emerging technologies, with a vision of how these are to be delivered in practice.
  • Experience in using ESRI ArcGIS products, in particular ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience in using various GIS raster and vector data types.
  • Effective communicator and collaborative in approach – the role will involve working with numerous people from different disciplines.
  • Problem solver with facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable with standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), email/internet, other IT applications.
