High Growth Insurtech is currently hiring for a Head of Premium Finance to join their London team. This is a newly created role for the company after successfully obtaining their lending license and is an ideal opportunity for a premium finance specialist who is looking to build and grow a new premium finance team. The role offers the opportunity to join a profitable business at an exciting time of their trajectory and help them take their next step in scalability across the UK market.
Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver the premium finance strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Lead product innovation and competitive positioning in the insurance finance space.
- Oversee credit risk and underwriting policies across personal and commercial finance products.
- Ensure compliance with internal risk frameworks, FCA regulations, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
- Chair or participate in relevant credit committees and risk governance forums.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, finance and product teams.
- Represent the company in industry events, roundtables, and strategic partnerships.
- Heavily involved in AI/Automation projects to increase operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of UK premium finance regulatory landscape (FCA, consumer credit, affordability).
- Proven senior leadership experience in premium finance, insurance lending, or financial services.
- Strong background in credit policy, product risk or underwriting.
- Proven commercial acumen with experience in launching and scaling financial products.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Good experience of automation projects that can improve productivity, streamline tasks, or unlock innovative ways of thinking.
