Reddbrick are currently recruiting for a leading regional contractor in the fire protection sector, and we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Door Surveyor or Passive Fire Specialist to join a growing and reputable business. This role is ideal for someone with a background in fire door inspections, joinery, or passive fire protection who is now looking to step into a more senior or management-level position. Whether you’re already surveying or keen to develop toward project delivery, this is a business that invests in its people.

As the Fire Door Surveyor, you’ll work closely with the Operations Team, supporting project delivery across the North. This is a key position overseeing fire door compliance and survey activity on live projects – ensuring the highest standards of fire safety are maintained across all works.

You’ll be:

  • Conducting detailed fire door surveys on residential, commercial, and public buildings
  • Coordinating with Project Managers and Contracts Managers
  • Supporting the management of operatives on site
  • Overseeing health & safety, quality control, and compliance documentation
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and timelines
  • Assisting with drawing reviews, variations, and programme monitoring

We’re looking to speak with candidates who have:

  • A background in fire door surveying, passive fire protection, or site joinery
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
  • BM Trada or similar recognised qualifications

Highly desirable:

  • SSSTS / SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid & Asbestos Awareness (or willingness to obtain).
