Technical Engineer / Technical Assistant

Edge Careers are working on behalf of a key client that\’s looking to add a \’Technical Engineer or Technical Assistant\’ to their team, they are open to level and will provide any training/development needed. This is a Groundworks Contractor that predominantly operates within the Residential Sector. They specialise in Roads, Sewers, Infrastructure, Bulk Earthworks and Housing Plot Groundworks. This a great opportunity to join an established, growing business that offers an attractive package and working alongside a very experienced technical team. This role will be working out of their Head Office, with some flexibility on working hours. You will be working within Ground Engineering and reporting directly into the ‘Technical Manager\’ They will be responsible for your future development and any additional training/support you might need. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. It would be beneficial for this role if you have experience using Modelling Software – such LSS, Agtek, Trimble Business Centre, Civils 3D. (Modelling & Design Software – for a complete land survey, terrain modelling, volume, design and visualisation package) Duties:  3D modelling of existing and proposed sites to generate cut/fill analysis  Measuring Items for take-off’s  Aiding in design review  Use of AutoCad to manipulate data  Interpolating ground investigation data to estimate subsurface materials and volumes  Generation of volume reports  Developing conceptual site models  Producing detailed drawings and cross-sections  Partake in regular team meetings  Working closely with Site Teams and the Estimating Team Beneficial Attributes:  CAD experience to help manipulate data  Experience would be beneficial using Earthworks Modelling software (LSS, Agtek, Trimble Business Centre, 3D Civils)  Understanding of Civil Engineering, Construction and Earthworks  Any site based experience working within the Groundworks Engineering department  Land Surveying experience  Site Engineer / Civils Engineer  Inquisitive and technically minded, enabling you to complete your workload to the highest standard and to seek the answers that others may not find  Working to specific deadlines  Good communication skills, confident with speaking to existent clients and prospective new ones to understand and deliver their requirements If you feel this opportunity would be a good fit for you and your experience meets some of the outlined criteria then I look forward to hearing from you
