A leading building services contractor is looking for a skilled professional to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis, working across multiple commercial properties throughout West Scotland. This role offers stable weekday hours, hands-on work in boiler rooms and plant environments, and the opportunity to become a permanent team member with regular paid overtime available. Why This Heating Engineer Role Is a Great Opportunity: * Hourly Pay: £18.50 – £22.00 (based on skills and experience) * Job Type: Temporary to Permanent – long-term potential * Working Schedule: • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM • Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM * Work Setup: Mobile position working in pairs across regional commercial sites Key Responsibilities of the Heating Engineer: * Install, repair, and maintain commercial heating and hot water systems * Carry out pipework modifications and mechanical installations in boiler houses * Travel to customer sites to complete scheduled maintenance and planned works * Follow all health & safety procedures and ensure compliance with site regulations * Maintain clear communication with colleagues and site managers to deliver top-quality results Ideal Candidate Profile: * Hands-on experience in commercial heating, plant room, or boiler house settings * Holds a valid CSCS card * Full UK Driving Licence (preferred due to mobile nature of the work) * Certifications such as IPAF and PASMA are a plus * Gas Safe registration is advantageous but not required This is a fantastic role for a practical, safety-conscious Heating Engineer who enjoys working in varied commercial settings.
