Data Centre Operations Cabling Technician * Location: Farnborough GU14 (Must be located within an 1 hour from site) * Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am – 17:30pm * Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 plus Overtime + Company Benefits Exponential-e Want to be part of a leading British-owned tech company? Your new role We are recruiting for the role of a Data Centre Operation Cabling Technician, a key role in the next chapter of Exponential-e continued success. Some your responsibilities will include: * Installation, patching and configuration of bespoke environments for various internal and external vendor solutions using a variety of different manufacturers of Network, Server and Storage Hardware. * Basic troubleshooting of structured cabling links between racks identifying any faults or inconsistencies and liaising with internal or external Cabling teams to repair and re-test. * Installation, configuration and effective load balancing of Intelligent PDUs for power monitoring. What you’ll need to succeed * Must meet SC and BPSS security clearance vetting and approval requirements * Proficient in Server, Storage & Network deployment and ongoing break fix support. * Excellent cabling standards with a keen eye for tramlining and looming cabling in the Data Centre environment * Basic knowledge and understanding of Data Centre M&E Design, Power, Cooling, Redundancy etc * Experience with Structured Cabling deployments of Copper & Fibre * Full UK Driving License and personal car is essential for this position * Logical in your approach to troubleshooting, problem solving and fault diagnosis What we offer * Career progression opportunities * Autonomy and freedom to manage your own time and workload * Vibrant company culture with a wide range of events and social activities throughout the year * Comprehensive benefits including on-site cafe with free barista coffee, birthday leave, charity leave, vitality health cover and holiday purchase scheme to gain an extra 5 days leave!
