Connect Grp UK Ltd is currently seeking a proactive and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer for our client, a leading M&E contractor based in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects throughout London and the Southeast. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical engineering, allowing for a smooth transition into significant project management and technical leadership roles.
Requirements:
- Essential: HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and pipework across commercial, industrial, and/or healthcare sectors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective time management.
- Desirable: SMSTS certification, First Aid at Work certification, and experience with JCT or similar contract structures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and liaise directly with clients to understand project scope, risks, and potential hazards.
- Perform MEPH validations and produce detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations.
- Assist in planning and executing projects to ensure delivery within budget, programme, and quality benchmarks.
- Develop, maintain, and track project timelines and milestones while coordinating with internal and external designers for practical solutions.
- Manage subcontractor performance, safety compliance, and deliverables, while ensuring all works meet client specifications and the company's HSEQ systems.
