THE COMPANY
Founded in 2014 by a team of experienced sports marketing professionals, Sportgate
International is a premier sports and event management company based in Southwest
London. Specializing in delivering world-class event experiences, Sportgate International
provides expert consultancy and management services to prestigious venues, luxury brands,
tourism boards, and rights holders.
As the owners of Chestertons Polo in the Park London, we are looking for a dynamic and
driven Operations & Events Manager to oversee the planning and execution of our flagship
event in 2025. You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless coordination of event
operations, working closely with internal teams, vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders
to bring the event vision to life.
CONTRACT TYPE
This is a full-time, permanent position with an expected start date of March 2025.
LOCATION
This role is based out of the Sportgate International offices in Southwest London, however
you will also work on luxury events in the UK and abroad. There is flexibility regarding some
remote working, particularly during off-peak periods.
WORKING HOURS
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 9am – 5.30pm. However, the role will
require additional hours, including evenings and weekends, during the build-up to, and the
duration of, events.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Event Management Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event

• Strong Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to
manage multiple timelines and deliverables simultaneously.
• Vendor Management: Proven experience in working with external suppliers,
vendors, and contractors to deliver complex events.
• Budgeting & Financial Acumen: Experience in managing event budgets and tracking
expenses.
• Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with event health and safety regulations,
including risk assessments and compliance procedures.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and
event management software tools.ABLE SKILLS
• Polo or Sports Event Experience: Knowledge of the polo or sports events sector is
highly desirable but not essential.
• Sponsorship & Partnership Experience: Experience working directly with sponsors
and partners on activation logistics and event fulfillment.
• Crisis Management: Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, with a
proven track record of handling last-minute changes and event-day challenges.

work. The Operations & Events Manager role will require a hands-on approach and the
ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements. This is a dynamic and demanding role
where you will be part of a team that works together to deliver one of the most prestigious
and well-attended events in the UK.
Due to the nature of events, there may be long hours and weekend work required,
particularly in the lead-up to and during Chestertons Polo in the Park.
