SGS is seeking a reliable and proactive Inspection Support Operative to assist our busy Inspection department. The role involves basic inspection support tasks including sample collection/delivery, site visits, equipment handling, and documentation transport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect samples from vessels, shore tanks, and retail forecourts in line with client and industry standards
- Transport samples and documentation to/from vessels and labs
- Maintain inspection stock and sampling equipment
- Support compliance with safety, health, and COSHH standards
- Work closely with the operations and laboratory teams to meet tight client deadlines
Qualifications:
- No prior experience is required for this role — full training will be provided.
- We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and flexible candidate who is ready to take on a hands-on role.
- Comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work
- Flexible and able to work independently to strict timelines
- Full UK driving license
- Strong communication, literacy, and basic IT skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of COSHH and oil/chemical sampling
- Experience in an industrial or oil & chemicals environment
