An exciting opportunity has arisen for x3 Medical Audio Typists based at University Hospital, Ayr / University Hospital Crosshouse. Please note this is a fixed term opportunity for 1 year.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive support service to the Medical Secretarial team. You should have a relevant secretarial qualification e.g. AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA, or Scotvec qualification such as HNC in Business Admin or equivalent work experience.

Applicants should have excellent typing skills along with communication skills, time management, and ability to prioritise your workload. Previous NHS Administrative experience and an understanding of medical terminology and a working knowledge of the patient management system (Trakcare) would be desirable. Primary duties will include audio transcription of clinical correspondence using digital dictation and the use of the patient management system.

Hours:

  • Post 1: 37 hours per week
  • Post 2: 37 hours per week
  • Post 3: 37 hours per week
