About the role

We are looking for a Boiler Operator to join the team at our Ashburton plant. Based on your experience and qualifications, your pay will range from $36.00 - $49.00 per hour. You will be working on a Monday to Friday roster pattern.

As a Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Receive instructions from the Maintenance Planner / Engineering Manager / Head Boilerman or others as the needs of the business requires.
  • Be a point of contact on all day-to-day steam supply issues for the production equipment and any other services equipment.
  • Take ownership of quality system, food safety and HACCP program.
  • Accurately maintain all documentation and records, both written and electronic.
  • Ensure all work is done with the correct work request paperwork; all information is provided.

For this role, you’ll need:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Energy and Chemical Process Operations (Level 4, or with Level 3 and willing to work towards level 4).
  • Must understand and work on the ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System and ensure that all activities and information are documented and available upon request.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timeframes with sound problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills across all levels in the business.
