About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Wire and Spark Erosion/EDM Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Agie/Charmilles machinery and a solid understanding of machining to fine tolerances across a variety of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate Agie/Charmilles EDM machines, including Wire, Spark, and EDM drill types.
- Use Robocam and Fikus software to produce high-precision components.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and ensure all components meet specified tolerances.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Agie/Charmilles EDM machinery.
- Strong background in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Competence with a range of materials used in high-precision manufacturing.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with offline and online programming.
- Knowledge of gear forms and the ability to produce 2D drawings using relevant CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to inspect and verify finished components.
- Experience in managing an EDM section, including machine maintenance and production scheduling.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: Day Shift
- Saturday: Half Day
- Plenty of overtime available
