Citadel Source is partnering with a successful company based in the North Bristol area to recruit an experienced Payroll Team Lead to join their finance team.
The role involves reporting directly to the Finance Director, with the primary responsibility of ensuring the smooth running of the company-wide payroll.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need prior experience in a similar position, a strong understanding of payroll, and sound knowledge of accounting principles. You will be detail-oriented, organised, have strong communication skills, and strong Excel skills.
As a Payroll Team Lead, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Lead and support a team of payroll assistants to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all payrolls
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and current employment legislation
- Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently and professionally
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to maintain up-to-date employee data
- Prepare and review payroll reports, including PAYE, NI, pensions, and other statutory deductions
- Stay informed on changes in payroll legislation and ensure timely application
