Are you an HGV driver fed up of not knowing when you’re working next? Looking for guaranteed hours with a well-respected company that will pay you what you’re worth? Or are you a newly-passed driver looking for a company that’ll give you the chance to kick off your career? We’re looking for full-time, permanent Class 2 HGV Night Drivers to join us at our site in Milton Keynes.
You’ll be working on our prestigious night network contract for Mercedes, delivering vehicle parts to dealerships. You’ll be working a minimum of 48 hours per week on the Monday to Friday shift, with start times between 19.30hrs and 22.00hrs. In return, we’ll offer average earnings of £39,500 including overtime and allowances. You’ll also have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, 20 days holiday plus bank holiday pay and many other perks as well as ongoing CPC training. Extra to this, we are actively upskilling our drivers from Class 2 to Class 1 once they have completed their probationary period.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Making between 5 and 7 drops to secure locations on a nightly basis delivering car parts.
- You will be a key holder for each location and will open and close the site for each delivery.
- Manual handling is involved including moving roll cages so you must be physically fit.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Full UK driving licence (with LGV C entitlement).
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
