For our branch in the Netherlands (s-'Hertogenbosch), we are looking for an expansion of our current team of colleagues in the service department to support our customers in the UK. The position will be based in Crawley. Supermicro has been a household name in the field of Motherboards, Servers, and total solutions for more than 30 years, where we provide service based on service contracts for large customers in various sectors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Datacenter System Engineer you are responsible for accepting, registering and solving various problems in the field of server hardware. We analyze and solve problems for our international customers both remotely and at the customer location. This role offers the opportunity to quickly become familiar with many different aspects of IT at various customers. This makes it an excellent opportunity to broaden your knowledge and experience and thus lay the foundation for the future of your career. You will be part of a very close team with a good working atmosphere. Customer satisfaction is the focus in this position. You get satisfaction from solving problems and can work in an environment with different cultures and nationalities. You are flexible and willing to travel occasionally to serve our customers.
Qualifications:
- A completed (senior) vocational education towards IT or comparable level obtained through experience.
- You have an excellent command of the English language.
- You have experience with 1st and 2nd line support.
- Experience in datacenters is an advantage.
- You have good communication skills.
- Analytic and problem-solving mindset.
- You quickly gain knowledge.
- You can perform individually and under pressure.
- You have (basic) knowledge of the Windows OS/Linux.
- You have (basic) knowledge of system management (networks, servers, databases).
- You are representable.
