We have an extremely exciting opportunity for a Source Technologist to join us in a role that includes up to 11 months of international travel throughout the year. You will see different parts of the world, whilst visiting our growers! The role can either be based in Spain or the UK. The experience gained in this role is a fantastic springboard to a career within fresh produce, the food industry in general, especially within a Quality/Technical position.

With full travel and accommodation expenses covered, you will travel to the source of our products across the world, working closely with suppliers to ensure customer specifications are being met.

In this role you will:

  • Visit countries where our products are grown and packed at source to establish and reinforce standards to ensure quality when arriving to the UK
  • Oversee the packing of fruit throughout the season, setting and driving quality standards during growing and packing for UK customers
  • Communicate any seasonal challenges that may impact service/availability to the UK teams
  • Understand the suppliers’ position with regards to relevant customer accreditations Eg: Sedex, (or SIZA if in RSA), BRC, preform audit to identify gap, schedule audits and provide support with external service providers eg certification bodies, local authorities

About You

  • Be willing to travel up to 11 months per year (with full travel and accommodation expenses covered)
  • Able to speak, read and write in both English and Spanish
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to make decisions independently
  • A food degree/qualification would be desirable.
