About The Role

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: £23,907 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 07:45 to 16:15 Monday to Friday

Role purpose:

The purpose of the initial assessment role is to accurately enter, update, and manage information about IT equipment within a centralised database system. This role is essential for maintaining an up-to-date inventory, supporting asset management processes, and ensuring efficient tracking and utilisation of IT assets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performing data entry activities on a bespoke SCC system capturing all relevant information on all customer IT equipment received.
  • Functionality testing on specific customer IT equipment (training shall be given).
  • Performing a detailed quality assessment on all customer IT equipment.
  • Sorting equipment to build pallets for onward processing.
  • To process all customer units within agreed OLA’s/SLA’s, with focus on attention to detail while ensuring customer requirements and expectations are met.
  • Achieve key performance indicators and targets, thereby ensuring the maximum productivity of the facility, whilst maintaining efficiency and quality.
  • To undertake any training programs regarding all processes and procedures, thereby ensuring total compliance to all relevant company policies such as (but not limited to) Health and Safety, Safe Systems of Work and the Traffic Management Plan.
  • Ensure a high level of security awareness is maintained.
  • To undertake any other duties commensurate with the position (including specific project activity and covering for absence from the overall Recycle team) to maintain overall departmental effectiveness.
  • To ensure all customer equipment is handled carefully to always avoid damage.
  • To project a pro-active and positive attitude when communicating with external/internal customers. To maintain a friendly, professional service always.

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role and/or within the ITAD sector, alternatively an adaptable individual with computer literacy skills who can be suitably trained and upskilled.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow documented processes and procedures.
  • Ability to always adhere to health and safety practices.
  • SC Clearance or willingness to apply.
