Our client is an award-winning, self-performing general contractor with over 60 years of experience, and they’re seeking a proven Safety Specialist. Their projects are varied, but their expertise encompasses modular and prefabricated structures, water and wastewater treatment facilities, industrial and renewable energy projects, as well as federal infrastructure.
As Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for the oversight of safety on one or multiple project sites. Your role will be to support project teams and embed a world-class safety culture on active construction sites. Join a company where safety isn’t just a department—it’s a core value.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Field Safety Operations:
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and corrective actions
- Identify risks before they become incidents
- Oversee subcontractor compliance with safety standards
- Deliver Hands-On Training:
- Coach crews on site-specific safety plans, OSHA guidelines, and hazard prevention
- Conduct toolbox talks and onboarding safety orientations
- Ensure all training is up to date and aligned with federal and state standards
- Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, and the Safety Manager
- Communicate issues and corrective steps clearly and professionally
- Build strong relationships across trades, teams, and leadership
Location / Travel: Southeastern, MA. Visit multiple sites weekly.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of field-based construction safety experience
- OSHA 10 & 30 certifications (required); First Aid/CPR (required)
- A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related discipline is preferred
- CSL is not required, but highly valued.
