Our client is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team based in London. You will be assisting the Finance Manager with monthly management accounts reporting and balance sheet presentations in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the month end close and preparation of management accounts.
- Tasks include intercompany and other balance sheet account reconciliations, payroll, depreciation, accruals, prepayments and other journal adjustments.
- Working closely with finance teams on VAT returns.
- Ad hoc analysis, provision of information and support to the wider finance team.
- Assisting month end with bank postings and reconciliations.
- Assist in providing management with accurate and timely information on sales and stock levels.
- Accounts Payable duties where needed.
- Help support the business through the yearly audits with duties around preparation of audit schedules, statutory accounts and general queries.
- Assist with the development of systems and processes to ensure that the PO, invoice, payment processes are adequately addressed.

- Good Excel skills, comfortable with IT systems.
- Organised, efficient, self-sufficient person with good interpersonal skills and can-do attitude.
- Demonstrate an interest in improving and developing systems and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise, meet deadlines and targets.
