Outset Studio is a specialist content studio focused on podcasts, live streaming, and video recording. Launched in 2018, it has rapidly grown to be the leading podcast recording studio in London, with branches in London Bridge, Shoreditch / Hoxton, and Manchester.

We are now looking to hire a Studio Assistant to manage client bookings on weekends from setting up to production and to bring some creative projects to life. The successful candidate will be a valued member of Outset Studios and is expected to proactively draw on their own experience, demonstrating the ability to think laterally and innovatively to enable and deliver excellent customer service and, most importantly, manage their time in the studio effectively.

Role and responsibilities

  • Set up the studio depending on customer requirements while maintaining a high level of cable management throughout the studio.
  • Work as a videographer or sound engineer, operating DSLR cameras and audio recording devices when required.
  • Settle customers and instruct clients on using the studio for the best creative results.
  • Keep track of inventory and maintain an inventory system.
  • Keep cables and equipment in the right place while maintaining them.
  • Keep studio clean and tidy at all times.
  • Assist with client video and audio edits.
  • Assist with phone calls and emails from existing clients.

Personal skills and experience required

  • Team player.
  • Experience with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Excellent time management and initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An understanding of what engages audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and resilience to work in a dynamic organisation where priorities may change at short notice.
