The Role
Working as part of the Analytical Development team, the post holder will review data and documents associated with development and phase appropriate validation of analytical methods in support of API manufacturing projects for small molecules and/or peptides. These methods include, but are not limited to:
- detection of assay and related substances by HPLC/UHPLC/GC
- detection of residual solvent content by GC
- detection of water content by Karl Fischer
- counter ion content by IC
The data and document reviewer will also be responsible for reviewing data associated with forced degradation studies and reference standard characterisation.

Essential Criteria
- 5 GCSE (or equivalent) grades A*- C, including Mathematics and English Language
- Degree level qualification in an Analytical/Chemistry related discipline. (A Higher-Level Qualification in relevant discipline, including significant industry experience, may be considered in lieu of Degree Qualification)
- Previous laboratory experience in a GMP/GLP environment
- Working knowledge of multiple laboratory techniques
Desirable Criteria
- Postgraduate level qualification (or equivalent) in a related discipline
- Experience in method development and/or validation
