A Day in the Life of an Athletic Trainer: As a Clinical/Outreach Athletic Trainer, you are responsible for providing comprehensive athletic training services to a local sports team, focusing on both preventative care and active response to injuries during games. Your role includes being onsite at all home games to manage immediate medical needs, perform injury evaluations, and apply necessary treatments or refer athletes to medical professionals as required. You will maintain rigorous standards in managing athletes' health records, inventory medical supplies, and ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the training area. Collaboration with team physicians, coaches, and other sports staff is vital to develop effective injury prevention and recovery programs. The work demands high adaptability and precision under pressure, contributing to the overall safety and performance enhancement of the team.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience Required:
  • New graduates are welcome to apply!
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • State licensure
  • Bachelor's degree
  • National Certification (ATC) through the Board of Certification Inc
  • Preferred:
  • Three years athletic training experience in a sports environment

Compensation and Benefits: The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employee's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions. Cuyuna Regional Medical Center offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, financial security, and overall well-being of our employees.
