Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, live chat and in person on site.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions or escalate to higher-level support teams as necessary.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner and provide clear and concise explanations of technical issues.
  • Document customer interactions in our database, including details of technical issues, solutions provided, and customer information.
  • Keep up to date with new products, services, and technologies, and attend training sessions as needed.
  • Always maintain a positive and professional demeanour and provide excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Follow established policies and procedures, and comply with all regulations and standards.

Requirements for the role:

  • A strong technical Mechanical or Electrical background, with a passion for heavy equipment.
  • A strong safety-first approach – for yourself and those around you.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the service team, internal and external customers.
  • Outstanding people skills to work with customers, suppliers, and our team to solve problems and deliver great service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical customers.
  • Relevant trade qualifications and at least 3 years of hands-on experience working on construction equipment.
  • Solid technical knowledge of earthmoving machinery (Volvo CE experience highly regarded).
  • A background in product support or similar industry experience.
  • The ability to conduct customer training and mentor internal staff.
  • Professional presentation and a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Strong computer literacy and a current C-Class or above driver’s licence.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
