  • Create engaging educational materials, resources, and interpretation content.
  • Support the development of public talks, events, and visitor learning opportunities.
  • Work closely with animal and marketing teams to communicate key messages via the website and social channels.
  • Assist with the coordination of education volunteers and placement students.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and evaluation.

About You

You’ll be an enthusiastic communicator with a passion for wildlife and conservation education. You’ll enjoy working with diverse audiences and have a flair for making learning fun, accessible, and memorable.

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as zoology, biology, environmental science, as well as holding or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of conservation, biodiversity, and animal welfare issues.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience delivering educational sessions in a zoo, museum, school, or environmental setting.
  • Knowledge of the Welsh Curriculum and ability to deliver in both English and Welsh (desirable but not essential).
  • First Aid and safeguarding training.

Why Join Us?

  • Work in one of the most scenic zoological settings in the UK.
  • Be part of a team making a real difference to wildlife conservation.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • Staff benefits including zoo entry (for you and your family), free parking, uniform, staff discounts, training and development, employee wellbeing programme, company sick pay*, and pension scheme* (*after qualifying service).
