Mediq UK is a supplier of healthcare consumables, equipment, cleaning, and hygiene products, as well as healthcare devices to hospitals, care homes, and other healthcare facilities in the UK. We are recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our transport team.
Requirements:
- Holding a relevant licence to drive Class 2 vehicles
- A valid CPC
- A Digital Tachograph card
- Valid UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement
- Experience as a delivery driver or similar role
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Experience as a 7.5t driver is advantageous
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 42 hours per week
Salary: £36,000
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the company vehicle in a roadworthy and clean condition, perform checks, and report faults immediately
- Assist in loading orders onto the vehicle, ensuring payload and axle weight limits are adhered to, and goods are safely loaded
- Comply with legal requirements and the company's Operator's Licence
- Complete scheduled deliveries on time, using route planning tools
- Deliver to customers, assist with unloading, and ensure goods reach the final delivery point
- Report problems at delivery sites
- Ensure POD paperwork is correct and authorized; collect and account for cash payments
- Communicate customer issues and sales opportunities to the branch sales team promptly
- Present a professional, courteous image and adhere to dress code
- Report any accidents immediately
