The Sony Europe Technology Development Centre (EUTDC) is an R&D Integrated Circuit Design Centre with a mission to develop next-generation imaging and sensing solid-state devices. We are seeking a skilled and expert Senior Digital Design Verification Engineer to join our Digital Design team, playing a pivotal role in the Digital Design Verification of top-level and IPs, coordinating the efforts of other verification contributors, and shaping the verification methodology.
This role involves tight communication with the design team and coordination of the design verification activities, potentially with external engineers and contractors, and collaboration with other European and Japanese design centres for alignment on methodology improvements.
You will:
- Lead Digital Design Verification projects, including planning and organizing work for contributors, and reporting the progress to managers.
- Develop and consolidate new design verification flows, aiming to enhance methodology and efficiency across sites.
- Analyse design specifications to create comprehensive verification plans for complex blocks.
- Maintain a digital regression environment and analyse code and functional coverage.
- Debug tests autonomously and communicate proficiently with designers as needed.
- Write, integrate, and debug analogue models, supporting AMS verification teams.
- Contribute to verification methodologies for imaging systems and system model integration (e.g., SystemC).
- Apply Continuous Integration concepts and workflows (e.g., Jenkins).
You have:
- A background in technical, electronics, semiconductor, or physics, with a PhD/MSc in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience.
- Solid experience in the design and verification domain, preferably with CMOS Image Sensors.
- Excellent expertise in UVM/digital verification methodology.
- Proficient in common scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl/shell, Makefile, etc.).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Experience working with multi-ethnic, cross-functional, and remote teams.
- Fluent English.
