You will provide day-to-day care for children and young people living with us. You will quickly establish trusting relationships and support people in our care with their education, shared activities and their overall wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:

Working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure consistent quality of care

Organising, participating in and planning shared activities and interests with children to nurture their wellbeing, learning and growth

Working flexibly to meet changing demands and be willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities to ensure the safe day-to-day running of the home

Taking responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of children, the workforce and visitors to the home by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment

Requirements for the role include:

Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent)

Experience in Children’s residential care

Knowledge of children’s rights and of adolescent mental health, and therapeutic approaches

Understanding of the risks and issues facing children in care and their families, Do you have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (desirable, not essential)?, Children’s residential care: 1 year (required)
We offer full-time, part-time and Bank positions, based on preference, and with the following salary bands:
Senior Social Care Practitioner – £14.42/h, £60 sleep-in (expected salary £33,000)
Bank: £12.82/h, Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.42 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 46 per week
