The Assistant Project Manager at Mill Creek Residential ensures high-density residential and mixed-use projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and compliant with project documents and codes. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager assists in planning, scheduling, cost control, supervision, and labor relations, providing support to project staff.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities- Establish and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or other software.
- Review plans and specifications for coordination and value engineering.
- Assist in processing RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, and permits.
- Maintain project logs and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with Engineers and Superintendents to resolve constructability issues.
- Assist in permit acquisition and bidding processes.
- Support field office setup and mobilization.
- Ensure personnel development and training as per company standards.
- Review Subcontractor Scopes of Work.
- Monitor project costs from bidding through final payment, maintaining logs and reports.
- Ensure compliance with contracts and purchase orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2-4 years related experience in construction procedures, codes, estimating, scheduling, and safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering, or 6 years of applicable experience.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project; Procore and Textura are a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to negotiate, manage personnel, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
