We are working with a specialist engineering solutions provider that is seeking a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic and collaborative team.

The Role

As a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of electrical systems, schematics, and control panels. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and in line with industry standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the creation of electrical schematics and panel layout drawings
  • Supporting project documentation, BOM creation and work order release using ERP systems
  • Participating in design reviews and ECR (Engineering Change Request) processes
  • Shadowing senior engineers and taking part in client meetings (with occasional site visits)
  • Contributing to technical report writing and design documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Familiarity with CAD software (preferably Eplan or similar)
  • A basic understanding of load calculations and cable compliance
  • A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn
  • An interest in value engineering and working to project specifications
