At Atlassian Williams Racing, we are striving to strengthen our high-performance culture across the organisation, including a significant programme of finance transformation. This role is designed to have some set monthly accounting responsibilities with an emphasis on inventory reporting, but the successful candidate will also be comfortable working closely with finance and business stakeholders to drive improvements and build a strong platform for best-in-class financial reporting and analysis.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the month end close process for your assigned business areas ensuring journals are completed in a technically accurate and timely manner and reconciliations are maintained to a high standard.
- Look after inventory accounting as well as a number of smaller areas across the business.
- Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, resolving reconciling items and delivering improvements to the auditability of the schedules.
- Review contract documentation to ensure correct accounting treatment and prepare technical accounting papers.
- Support the annual statutory and cost cap audits.
- Complete UK and Overseas VAT returns and ONS surveys.
- Collaborate to develop the Microsoft Dynamics (ERP) to maximise automation and support accurate financial accounting.
- Contribute to ongoing finance transformation projects helping to build best in class finance systems and processes.

Qualifications and Experience Level:
- Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified.
- Manufacturing Environment Experience: Experience with inventory accounting is required.
- Accounting Principles: Solid understanding required.
- Process Improvement: Proven ability to manage and improve financial processes.
Skills: Problem-solving, analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong communication skills, robust Excel skills, experience with PowerBI and D365 beneficial.
