We are offering you a new post working within the Bedfordshire Healthy Child Programme, with the opportunity for progression to training as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse covering the 0-19 age range.
Across our Luton and Bedfordshire teams we are developing an exciting opportunity for NMC registered practitioners to work with children and families from the antenatal period to 19 years of age. If you have a current Band 5 NMC registration, you are excited by innovation, and are passionate about the public health agenda and improving health outcomes for children, young people and families; then this may be the career choice for you.
You will work in an integrated 0-19 team within our Luton and Bedfordshire services. You will be supported to develop in the role, gaining the skills and knowledge you require to support the skill mix team to deliver our service confidently and competently. You will have the opportunity to work both virtually and in person, gaining experience of our universal services and targeted offer within the community.
There is an expectation that on successful appointment to this development role, you will commit to undertake the Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) degree course within 3 years of joining us (depending on your readiness, and availability of the course).
Please note that this role requires you to be able to travel to visit various bases, other services, and families at home. The development roles will be available across all areas of Luton and Bedfordshire.
