Weβre looking for an experienced MultiValue (JBase/Pick) Developer for a 3β6 month Outside IR35 contract to support and enhance a critical public sector finance system. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel required to Devon.
About the Role:Youβll be instrumental in maintaining and developing core finance modules such as General Ledger, Debtors, Cash Management, and Order Processing, ensuring system stability, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and enhance a MultiValue-based finance application (JBase)
- Develop features and apply bug fixes across finance modules
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective, user-driven solutions
- Manage data interfaces with internal systems and external partners
- Support financial reporting, system upgrades, and documentation
- Provide 2nd and 3rd-line support for incidents and service requests
- Proven experience with JBase or Pick MultiValue databases (e.g., Universe, Unidata)
- Proficient in MultiValue BASIC programming
- Experience with finance systems, particularly GL, AR, Cash Management, and Orders
- Understanding of system integration (APIs, flat files, FTP)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
