An exceptional opportunity has arisen within the Accountancy Services’ Support team, for an enthusiastic aspiring accounting technician with experience of working within a Financial environment and related IT systems. Experience of Excel is essential. We are looking for applicants who want to make a difference and push themselves to grow, develop and thrive. For the successful candidate, the position is part of a career graded scheme as noted in the Job Description.
The post is part of the Accountancy service support team, and the role is critical to support services throughout the Council and Children’s social care. You will be part of a high performing team with the opportunity to work in an exciting and diverse environment.
This is a great chance for an ambitious technician to develop their skills and knowledge and to positively contribute to Derby City Council’s financial decision making. Good communication is important and a commitment to high standards of performance, sensitivity and diplomacy are essential. Knowledge of local government issues would be an advantage although not essential.
