If you are a nurse (RMN, RNLD, RGN), occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic, this role offers you the opportunity to utilise your expertise and skills in a different capacity by conducting functional assessments and examinations related to claimants' eligibility for benefit payments.
You will be responsible for performing both face-to-face and remote assessments, compiling factual evidence, and creating concise evidence-based medical reports to support decision-making for the Northern Ireland Department for Communities (NIDfC). You will benefit from a comprehensive induction and training program providing over 100 CPD hours in your first three months, ensuring you are well-prepared for your role. Furthermore, continuous professional development will be prioritised throughout your career.
This full-time weekday position (37.5 hours - Monday to Friday) offers a competitive salary ranging from £38,500 to £39,500, along with excellent benefits and the potential for higher overtime rates.
What You'll Be Doing- Conduct telephone assessments and face-to-face functional assessments of individuals with disabilities or health conditions.
- Compile clear, concise, and factual medical reports - no treatment or diagnosis required.
- Collaborate with regional managers and administrators to meet service level agreements.
- Use IT systems to support clinical decision-making and report writing.

- One year's post-registration experience as a nurse (RMN, RNLD, RGN), occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic.
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC), without restrictions or conditions, with a valid PIN.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- A professional, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to undergo BPSS security clearance.
