About The Role
We’re looking for a talented Paraplanner to support one of our most experienced and successful Associate Directors in our Fareham office. You’ll be working at the heart of a high-quality financial planning practice, delivering excellent outcomes for high-net-worth clients. This role is ideal for a paraplanner who wants more than just back-office work. You’ll be in client meetings, contributing to recommendations, and learning directly from a senior Financial Planner with a proven track record. If you aspire to become an adviser yourself, we’ll support you every step of the way – with structured development, mentoring, and a clear path towards Chartered status and CAS sign-off.
About You
You’re an experienced and ambitious paraplanner who wants to work in a forward-thinking, high-performance environment. You’ve already achieved your Diploma (or are close) and are committed to your development – whether that means becoming Chartered or ultimately stepping into advice. You take pride in your technical ability, your attention to detail, and your desire to make a real difference to clients’ lives. Key Responsibilities Include
- Provide technical support to an Associate Director, including research, cashflow modelling, and report writing
- Join client meetings and support the delivery of personalised financial advice
- Ensure all advice is fully compliant, technically sound, and tailored to the client’s goals
- Take responsibility for ongoing advice processes and support client communications
- Build your knowledge across pensions, investments, tax, and estate planning
- Work towards becoming a Financial Planner, if that’s your goal – with dedicated mentoring and development
- Collaborate closely with administrators and wider colleagues to ensure a seamless client experience
Essential Skills And Experience
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
- Strong experience in a paraplanning or technical financial planning role
- High level of technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and protection
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Organised, proactive, and keen to continue learning and developing
Desirable Skills And Experience
- Progress towards Chartered status (or intention to start)
- Experience attending or contributing to client meetings
- Experience using cashflow modelling tools such as Voyant or CashCalc
- Familiarity with Intelligent Office or similar systems
- Ambition to transition into a Financial Planner role in future
