How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Support and deputise for the Head of HSE, including attending meetings and making decisions in alignment with Global HSE guidance.
  • Monitor and review HSE policies, practices, and compliance to ensure alignment with local regulations and STADA Global HSE SOPs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures for Manual Handling, Ergonomics, and Occupational Hygiene (e.g. air monitoring, noise, HAVS).
  • Develop and deliver HSE training (including e-learning), and maintain accurate training records for certifications like FLT, First Aid, and Fire Warden.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture through awareness, coaching, and observation of safe practices.
  • Coordinate and manage site Health & Safety meetings, ensuring agendas, actions, and minutes are completed effectively.
  • Generate and analyse HSE performance reports and KPIs for continuous improvement.
  • Support sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Procurement and assist related efforts at the Natures Aid site in Kirkham, Preston.

What We Are Looking For:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification required; NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical HSE experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or pharmaceuticals.
  • Commitment to obtain or already hold an IEMA Certificate in Environment or Sustainability.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and support teams to meet HSE objectives and legal requirements.
  • Good understanding of COSHH and experience applying its principles in the workplace.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards and their implementation.
  • Experience in delivering HSE training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, with intermediate IT proficiency.
