We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Representative - Software to join our dynamic team, maintaining and troubleshooting cutting-edge systems in gas turbine engine test facilities.

As a TSR, you'll play a pivotal role in providing top-notch customer support while leading issue resolution and mitigating technical risks. You will deliver hands-on technical support across a wide range of technologies, including:

  • Software systems
  • Measurement, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
  • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Computer networks

The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain and troubleshoot systems in Gas Turbine engine test facilities around the world.

  • Provide technical and engineering support to customers in the operation, repair, and enhancement of MDS-supplied software products.
  • Receive, analyze, and understand customer inquiries; resolve issues using testing, data collection, and root cause analysis, while delivering actionable technical and business solutions.
  • Utilize MDS administrative systems to track and document issues, generate reports on customer concerns and opportunities, and work in accordance with company standards, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by providing feedback on support services and recommending enhancements to products, processes, and environmental practices.
  • Travel to customer sites to install or maintain MDS software/systems, often on short notice and for extended durations; conduct supplier visits for reviews and assessments.
  • Perform installation of upgrades to customer systems, remotely or in person.
  • Participate in commissioning and acceptance of newly installed or upgraded systems.
  • Provide support and guidance to customers in building and modifying configurations and HMI displays for engine test operations.
  • Understand evolving customer requirements and support long-term system reliability through the design and implementation of performance monitoring tools.
  • Maintain traceability and configuration control of hardware inventory; manage and monitor critical spares.
  • Follow development of MDS software products, sharing key feature updates with colleagues.
  • Provide feedback to design teams on current systems and future product development.
  • Provide assistance to software design team in product verification and compliance activities.
  • Manage sub-contractors for the provision of third-party services.

Must be willing and able to work collaboratively in a 24/7 shift-based team environment.

What'll help your success?

  • Degree or diploma in Computing/Software Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience of administration and maintenance of Linux-based computer systems.
  • Experience resolving complex technical issues.
  • Understanding of measurement principles preferred.
  • Experience with Gas Turbine test facilities an asset.
  • SC clearance would be an advantage.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel as required.
