Join the team building the UK's first new nuclear power station in a generation. Critical to meeting NetZero goals. As Construction Design Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, buildable, and compliant designs from concept to completion, in line with CDM 2015 regulations. This role demands a proactive and collaborative professional with a strong focus on safety, quality, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and manage the Health and Safety File.
  • Conduct design risk assessments and support construction safety through design decisions.
  • Provide technical oversight of drawings and specifications.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and act as the point of contact for CDM-related queries.
  • Promote and support the integration of BIM and digital tools.
  • Support planning, regulatory approvals, and clear communication of design intent.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in construction or project management within the nuclear or engineering sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and risk management.
  • Proven ability to align employer requirements with project goals.
  • Formal qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management (degree, HND, or ONC).
  • Desirable: Experience with NEC/FIDIC contracts and client liaison. Chartered status (ICE, IStructE, CIOB) is a plus.
