You will play a pivotal role as a key senior technical advisor to the Prudential & Regulatory Reporting Manager regarding the regulatory reporting and wider financial data requirements for VWFS/VW Bank in the UK and Europe. Your key purpose will be the provision of analytical and strategic advice on:
- Completion and submission of Regulatory Reporting submissions
- Finance and Regulatory Reporting projects and change strategy
- Implementation, maintenance and enhancement of a new regulatory reporting software tool
- Finance data quality and definitions of regulatory reporting data requirements
The successful candidate will have the following experience to add value and succeed in this role:
- Experience of successfully leading a team and achieving results through people
- Driving high performance through effective coaching, mentoring, and developing talent through inclusive leadership
- Ability to effectively review complex portfolio analyses across high volume data sets and extract meaningful regulatory reporting insights
- Ability to set standards in terms of behaviour, culture and performance
- Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of complex tasks, problem solve and deliver in demanding business environments to meet strict deadlines
- Strong IT skills in some or all of MS Excel, SQL Server, Web Intelligence and Tableau
- High level of drive and commitment to continuously develop your own skills and experience
- Confident communicator able to convey complex concepts and calculations
- Networking skills to elicit key business knowledge and influence stakeholders
- Experience and knowledge of process management and implementing continuous improvements
- Organised and able to take a strategic view
If you’re a qualified accountant or have a similar professional qualification, this would be beneficial. A solid grounding in Banking Regulatory Capital Reporting matters, COREP, and a good understanding of IFRS accounting requirements for credit products, interest rate swaps, and fair values would also be an advantage. Experience of using a Regulatory Reporting Software package is preferred.

- Develop, coach, engage, motivate and manage the team to perform at their best
- Provide analytical and strategic advice on Financial / Regulatory Reporting projects and change strategy
- Implementing, documenting, maintaining, testing and enhancing a regulatory reporting software tool
- Overseeing the regulatory changes pipeline
- Planning and budgeting processes to ensure long term regulatory capital and liquidity requirements are addressed
- Provide guidance on adherence to all legal requirements, regulatory guidance and HQ policies
- Review and sign-off of regulatory reporting prior to submission
- Work with Regulators, HQ and Auditors to resolve any queries
- Deputise for the Prudential & Regulatory Reporting Manager
- Develop, deliver and present Finance and Regulatory MI and analytical insights to senior management
