We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our Global Purchasing team. This role involves managing procurement activities for a key global customer, working closely with sales and project teams to ensure suppliers, contracts, and materials are aligned for successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Managing customer-specific suppliers to ensure capacity, quality, and performance.
- Forecasting and planning supplier capacity in line with project timelines.
- Negotiating framework agreements and project-specific contracts.
- Acting as the main procurement contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting supplier development and sustainability targets.
- Optimising procurement processes and reporting on supply chain and cost-saving goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a commercial purchasing or buyer role.
- A degree in a technical or commercial field is preferred.
- Qualified CIPS or other recognised procurement qualification, or working towards it.
- Proactive, structured working style with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work across functions and cultures confidently and professionally.
- Fluent in English; Dutch or German is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 60% of the time.
